CBCT & Sleep Apnea – Costa Mesa
August 25, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm| $50
J O I N U S for an educational program to learn a great deal about obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and how Dentsply Sirona offers a patient awareness module (SiCat Air) through utilizing 3D imaging technology.
The apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) is an index used to assess the severity of sleep apnea based on the total number of complete apneas and partial obstructions of breathing occurring per hour of sleep. These pauses in breathing must last more than 10 seconds and are associated with a decrease in oxygenation in the blood. The AHI can be used to classify the severity of disease (mild 5-15, moderate 15-30, and severe greater than 30).
As long as the severity of OSA is within the range of mild and moderate cases, dental clinicians have an opportunity to o er, as an option, an appliance- based therapy (OptiSleep) to their patients. Join us to learn how.
