CBCT 3 – Medical Billing for the 3D Dental Practice – Feb 28 – Mar 1, 2019
February 28 @ 9:00 am - March 1 @ 4:00 pm
Most dental practices don’t even realize that many of our diagnostic and surgical procedures can actually be reimbursed through medical insurance. And often those practices that do understand this possibility, haven’t been successful in their endeavor. The confusion leads to frustration and usually ends with dental practices simply giving up.
Great News! I am teaming up with medical billing expert, Mr. Hootan Shahidi, to bring you a two day workshop that will help you properly, predictably, and efficiently get started with medical billing. Stop throwing away money and assist your patients through ethical medical billing.
How is this course different?
Most importantly, I (Tarun Agarwal, DDS) have a full time general practice that is most likely quite like yours. For years I had heard about this whole medical billing thing and wanted to implement this into my practice. I thought it was simple – like dental insurance billing – but boy was I wrong. I got frustrated, my team got frustrated, and we basically gave up.
Luckily, I don’t give up that easy. I went to the drawing table and figured out the roadblocks and came up with a repeatable system that makes it much easier, more predictable, and way less time consuming.
This workshop is the ideal combination of medical billing fundamentals and these real world implementation strategies.
This course requires the attendance of one dentist minimum from the practice.
Crawl, Walk, Run Approach to Medical Billing
This workshop doesn’t pretend or promise to instantly make you an expert at medical billing. In fact, we purposely don’t dive into some of the more complex surgical cases. Instead we focus on the day to day procedures, appliances, and simple surgical procedures that you should be submitting to medical insurance.
What will you learn?
Fundamentals of Medical Billing – Diagnosis Codes, Procedure Codes, Claim Forms, PreAuthorizations, Benefit Checks, Medical Necessity, SOAP Notes, etc.
Billable Diagnostic Procedures – Exams, 3D Radiography, 2D Radiography, Oral Cancer Devices
Billable Appliances – ‘Night Guards’, Oral Sleep Apnea Appliances
Billable Surgical Procedures – Bone Grafting, Implant Placement, Implant Removal, Wisdom Teeth Removal
Medical Billing Software – Using a comprehensive medical billing software that electriconally submits and tracks your claims.
Real Case Examples – Bring your own cases you have completed and we will complete and submit your first claims! This alone will likely pay for your tuition.
In closing, this workshop cuts the fluff and focuses on the 80%. We don’t get bogged down in fancy procedures that only a handful of dentists are doing. Instead we focus on systems that get you paid on the most common procedures in the general dental office.
I give you my personal promise that you will leave with a plan of implementation, knowledge and understand of what is realistic, and systems that can be implemented upon return to your office.
Please note, this course requires the attendance of one dentist minimum from the practice.
