Dr. Joc has completed over 600 hours of continuing education courses outside of school and is devoted to continuing to learn more. He has an undeniable passion for dental implants.

Dr. Joc Jernigan is a second generation dentist from Raleigh, NC. He attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for both his undergrad degree in Psychology in 2009, and remained a Tarheel to receive his doctorate of dental surgery in 2013 at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. From there he went on to join his father in practice in Rocky Mount, NC which happened to be a niche practice that focused on treating edentulism.

Understanding the practice he was going in to, Doc Joc developed a passion for dental implants while he was still finishing up school. He invested in a number of implant continuums while still finishing school, which created an appetite for continuing education and constantly try to elevate his knowledge and skill, and has accumulated well over 1000 hours of dental implant assocaited CE.

In practice with his dad his goal was on finding ways to make dental implant therapies for achievable for more people, with a focus on full arch treatment options for his patients. This led him to the realization that to be able to do this you had to not only keep your ear to the ground on new and emerging treatment modalities, but also utilize technology in delivering more efficient, predictable, and affordable care.

He went through arduous process to recieve his Fellow from the American Acadamy of Implant Dentistry, is a Fellow of ICOI, and a Diplomate of the International Dental Implant Association. He teaches with 3D Dentists group out of Raleigh, NC, where he is a didactic and live patient instructor for their Digital Implant Continuum and their Full Arch Courses.
